Simple to use and solved he problem of excessive smoke.

It made the eberspacher feel like new.
On inspecting the fan I noticed an M4 bolt was missing. I had to cut off the correct length.
Also, I cleaned out a 'hole' that couldn't be seen until I washed the body with petrol several times until the muck disappeared.
I smeared high-temperature anti-seize compound on the thread of the glow plug and the M4 bolt.

Service kit was sent very quickly.
After servicing still had a problem with the unit shutting down after 5 min.
Sent unit to them and they were able to test and determined the problem was most likely the controller. Sent unit back promptly with new style controller and solved the problem. Overall great result.
