I purchased the repair kit along with a glow plug.
1. The 4M bolt steadying the fan was missing - I fossicked around and found a few 10mm 4M pan head bolts that fitted nicely and bought some spring washers then smeared high-temperature anti-seize compound on the thread.
2. I prised out the mesh filter with a screw driver and pulled it out with small needle nosed pliers.
3. I cleaned the mesh filter block with unleaded petrol; lots of gunk was washed out.
4. A hole revealed itself in the process and I cleaned out the blocked hole.
5. I inserted the new mesh.
6. I smeared high-temperature anti-seize compound on the thread of the glow plug.
7. I assembled the parts and bolted it back to the floor.
8. When I tried to push the fuel line back onto the Eberspacher, I noticed that the end of rubber hose was in a poor state so I trimmed the end of it so that it fitted nicely.
9. I started the Eberspacher; initially, nothing happened...
10. Then it burst into life!
